Woodcock Hunting in Scotland

An Authentic Experience in the Heart of Argyll & Bute Enjoy five days of authentic woodcock hunting in one of Scotland’s finest hunting areas: Argyll & Bute, a region renowned for its vast natural woodlands, low hunting pressure, and abundant woodcock populations throughout the season. Our organization operates on over 10,000 hectares of exclusive hunting grounds, carefully selected and managed to ensure a hunting experience of the highest caliber, with full respect for wildlife and the environment. An experience designed for hunters with pointing dogs Hunting takes place exclusively in natural forests of oak, birch, beech, and conifers—the ideal habitat for woodcock.

Each day is organized in different areas, allowing the hunting grounds to rest naturally and offering hunters ever-changing environments to explore. Hunting groups consist of 2 or 3 people, all accompanied by an Italian- or English-speaking guide. Full-Service Organization: We handle airport pick-up, transfers, hunting permits, the paperwork for transporting firearms to the United Kingdom, and, if necessary, the transport of dogs from Italy to Scotland using our certified vehicle.

Our staff knows every hunting area inside and out and will always be available to accompany and advise you, while still allowing you maximum freedom during the hunt. Accommodations: Guests stay in charming Scottish cottages surrounded by nature, featuring single rooms and a relaxed, family-like atmosphere. One of the aspects our guests appreciate most is the convivial atmosphere that develops every evening after the hunt.

Meals are prepared directly by our staff, featuring authentic traditional Italian dishes alternated with local specialties, to make you feel right at home even thousands of kilometers away. Dogs at the Heart of the Experience: We know how integral your dog is to this trip. That’s why we offer a comprehensive dog transport service from Italy to Scotland using an authorized and certified vehicle, as well as accommodations with a kennel and dog runs right at the cottage.

Day 2 through Day 6 — Days Dedicated to Woodcock Hunting

After breakfast (7:30–8:30 a.m.), we’ll get ready for the hunting outing. Each group of hunters (2–3 people) will have a designated hunting area, assigned on a daily basis, with the support of a guide who will be available for any needs. Upon departure from the cottage, you’ll be given a packed lunch prepared for the day. During the hunt, you can take a short lunch break in the field or return to the cottage. It’s also possible to arrange for a dog change during the day. Each hunting area includes one zone for morning hunting and a different zone for the afternoon, allowing you to explore varied and suitable hunting grounds.
