African Five – 5 Trophy Hunting Package in South Africa

Experience a 7-day plains-game hunting safari in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, combining professionally guided hunting with full-board accommodation in a 5-star lodge. The African Five package includes five trophy animals. For the first three groups, the hunter may choose one species from the available alternatives, while Warthog and Nyala are included as fixed trophies: Group 1: Steenbok or Common/Grey Duiker Group 2: Impala, Blesbuck or Ostrich Group 3: Eastern Cape Kudu, Gemsbok/Oryx, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest or Burchell’s/Plains Zebra Group 4: Warthog Group 5: Nyala The Steenbok, Impala and Kudu displayed on the marketplace represent one possible configuration of the package.

Hunters may choose one of the available alternatives within Groups 1, 2 and 3, while Warthog and Nyala are included as part of the package. The trophy fees for all five selected animals are already included in the package price. The package also includes 7 days of full-board accommodation, pick-up and drop-off at Port Elizabeth Airport, hunting licence, 1:1 guided hunting with a registered and experienced Professional Hunter, rifle and ammunition for the booked package, daily housekeeping and laundry service, as well as raw trophy preparation and delivery to a local taxidermist.

Hunters wishing to further personalise their safari may add additional trophy animals according to the applicable trophy price list. A wide range of species is available, including Waterbuck, Sable, Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Red Hartebeest, Springbok, Roan and several other African game species. Trophy fees for additional animals include raw preparation of the trophy, including skinning and salting, as well as transfer to the local taxidermist.

Most additional species can be added during the client’s stay. Cape Buffalo and Sable must, however, be booked in advance due to limited annual availability. Certain species are subject to specific conditions.

The Blue Duiker trophy fee excludes the required TOPS permit. Cape Buffalo measuring 43 inches or more and Oribi are priced on agreement, while White Rhino is available according to a separate special price list on request. Several additional activities are also available during the stay.

A night-hunting trip can be booked on site for €250 per trip, with trophy fees charged separately according to the applicable price list. Night hunting may include nocturnal species such as jackal, genet, caracal, porcupine and hare. A bird-hunting day for ducks, geese and guinea fowl is available for €400 per hunter per day, bookable only on site; firearm and ammunition costs are not included.

Guests may also add a full-day deep-sea fishing trip in Port Elizabeth for €1,000 per day, including fishing equipment and bait, full catering and professional guiding, subject to weather and seasonal conditions. The package price does not include international or domestic flights to and from South Africa, personal expenses and travel insurance, rifle and ammunition for additional trophy hunts, additional trophy fees, tips for staff and the Professional Hunter, excursions and entrance fees, taxidermy, or transport and shipment of trophies to the hunter’s home country.
